How long we keep information ⏱️
How long we keep your information depends on the type of customer you are. Broadly, we provide services to three types of customer. The retention schedule which applies to your information varies according to which type of customer you are. The three types of customer are:
- Users of Stegologic's own websites and applications
- Stegologic's web design clients
- End users of Stegologic's web design clients
Retention schedule for users of Stegologic's own websites and applications
With some exceptions, we retain all information for up to 60 days after
- you remove information from your account
- you close your account
The following exceptions apply:
- Website user information (including user journeys and cookie tracking)
- Website user information is retained for 60 days
- If you engage in activity which poses a risk to our computer systems, we retain website user information for as long as necessary to protect our systems
- Purchase or account history
- To fulfil our legal obligations, we keep a record of all purchases you make and refunds you receive from us for up to 7 years
- Payment details (including card or bank information for transfers and direct debits)
- Our payment processors retain your payment details for as long as necessary to comply with their legal obligations
- Correspondence
- 5 years
- We can erase some correspondence sooner if you ask us to
The following information is not collected:
- Photographs or video recordings
- Records of meetings and decisions

With some exceptions, we retain all information for up to 5 years after the end of your contract.
The following exceptions apply:
- Website user information (including user journeys and cookie tracking)
- Website user information is retained for 60 days
- If you engage in activity which poses a risk to our computer systems, we retain website user information for as long as necessary to protect our systems
- Purchase or account history
- To fulfil our legal obligations, we keep a record of all purchases you make and refunds
you receive until the later of
- 7 years after each purchase
- 5 years after the end of your contract
- To fulfil our legal obligations, we keep a record of all purchases you make and refunds
you receive until the later of
- Payment details (including card or bank information for transfers and direct debits)
- Our payment processors retain your payment details for as long as necessary to comply with their legal obligations
The following information is not collected:
- Location data
